One of the things we like doing over at a Star Trek forum that I frequent is submit monthly fan fiction challenges to each other. The winner from the previous month gets to pick the next month's challenge, and is responsible for organizing and voting for that month, and so on.

For example, a fan fic challenge might be something like: "Write a story in less than 1000 words describing the first ever conversation between John Connor and Kyle Reese."

Just thought it might help get the ball rolling and creative juices flowing. That's not the challenge, though it could be. I'm just seeing if there is any interest. We'll probably want at least 3 entries for a fair vote! (Of course, you don't have to enter the challenge to vote). I'll administer the logistics of the first month's challenge, if you want.

Im a writer.... if i could get some interesting ideas out of you i could easily spit out a 50-300 page mine/novel to post here... im a bit excessive when it comes to writing :) i was thinking mabby something mid wartime with the Reese brothers... doest have to be exact to movie/ series but kinda close ish?

So I just finished the second draft of a story about when John and Kyle first met. It's just over 1000 words but I like how it turned out.
